History of Barbering Intro.....

The history of barbering is connected to the progress of mankind.  As civilization progressed, barbering developed to a highly recognized vocation.  Knowledge of the history of barbering offers an appreciation of the roles barbers held in our cultural heritage.  Hair, since early on has held a mystic array of superstitions and beliefs.
From 400 BC shaving was introduced by the Macedonians, later spreading through Egypt and all eastern countries............

Barber Shaving Exam

In the state of NJ it is required that individuals pass a Barber/Shaving exam to  upgrade a Beautician License or for out of state licensed individuals to obtain a NJ Cosmetologist/Hairstylist License. This is a NON-Credited class only for review.


The exam is written and practical.
